Vice-President Marketing – Electronic Security

Summary
Reporting to
the President, Electronic Security, this position is responsible for the
development of domestic and international strategic marketing and
tactical plans for various sales channels and vertical and emerging
markets. The strategic marketing plan will include existing product
portfolios and services coupled with all new product introductions. This
position also pursues all avenues to increase margins, profitability,
competitiveness and market positioning. Focus is on increasing sales and
market penetration in existing markets and developing new markets. Plan
and manage sales efforts for all global regions in conjunction with the
development of sales strategies/objectives. Responsible for planning
and implementing promotions and special projects.

Job
Responsibilities

• Develops and executes marketing
programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability,
and market share.

• Analyses marketing programs and
adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.

• Plans and
conducts market research to identify opportunities for increases sales.

• Reviews
analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in
order to recommend future product development in emerging markets.

• Provides post
event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing
programs.

• Participates in and/or leads new
business meetings, proposal presentations, and/or negotiation meetings.

• Coordinate
and oversee all market research related activities for global market
penetration.

• Responsible for the development
of tracking tools, processes and summary reporting for various sales
growth in specific countries, emerging or vertical markets.

• Conduct
primary and secondary research on targeted vertical markets to recommend
segmentation strategies.

• Develop existing and new revenue
opportunities within account base.

• Build long-term strategic
business plan for this critical, global account base.

• Measure
monthly performance and performance trends; takes action quickly to
avoid market-share erosion; develops intelligence network to become
aware of warning signs.


Supervisory and
Staff Relationships

• Reports to President – Electronic
Security

• Work closely with Electronic
Security Senior Leadership team

• Work closely with Sales
organization.


Education &
Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from
four-year college or university; Advanced degree in Marketing or Program
Management highly desirable; with ten plus years related job experience
and/or training; 3 to 5 in international programs or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Previous professional
progressive management experience.
