Solarflare Communications has expanded its executive team by hiring Mike Smith as vice-president of product marketing. Previously, Smith served as executive vice-president of worldwide marketing at Emulex, a player in the storage networking market. At Emulex, he helped drive product strategy and engagements, and was instrumental in securing design wins with major OEMs.
