July 27, 2012 – Electrical contractors, utilities and other end users of Southwire products can now download seven new Southwire mobile applications, aimed at maximize productivity on the jobsite. The apps focus on “core needs”, such as selecting and installing products; converting units of measurement; emailing results to others on the jobsite; and calculating current carrying capacity of an electrical circuit. The first seven in the Southwire mobile apps series include: MCAP Cable Savings Benefit Calculator; Conduit Fill Calculator; SIMpull Cable Pull Calculator; Southwire Electrical Product Catalogue; Conversion Calculator; Partial Reel Calculator; and Proof Positive Copper. Southwire plans to release several more apps in late 2012.
