July 24, 2024 – Resa Power LLC—a player in electrical testing, transformer services, and solutions for power distribution equipment—has acquired PCA Valence Engineering Technologies Ltd.

With locations in Calgary and Edmonton, PCA Valence is a full-service electrical testing business that has been providing acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing services in western Canada since 1995.

“This acquisition significantly strengthens Resa Power’s electrical testing services presence in western Canada, adding an impressive roster of highly skilled technicians to our ranks,” said Kevin Noonan, president of Resa’s Canadian business.

Resa has also acquired Calgary-based The Chem Lab Ltd., a provider of power transformer fluid diagnostic and analysis services since 2008.

Speaking of the Chem Lab acquisition, Resa’s chief growth officer Mark Angus said “it represents a new, highly specialized capability for our transformer service offering in Canada” and “will enable us to provide our customers across Canada with the full suite of transformer services needed to help maintain the integrity and safety of their power transformers and high-voltage equipment”.
