July 18, 2024 – Two organizations will benefit from about $3.1 million in federal support as they deploy electric vehicle chargers across Nova Scotia.

Polycorp Group of Companies is receiving $3,054,725 to install 634 Level 2 chargers at nine multi-unit residential buildings across the province.

“At Polycorp, we’re committed to providing homes that leave a much smaller carbon footprint than traditional buildings,” said Peter Polley, owner.

292 Main Street Developments Ltd. is receiving $95,596 to install 26 Level 2 chargers.

“Our initiatives will not only support those currently driving EVs by providing charging infrastructure at our Latitude 45 Suites project, but will also expose the benefits of EVs and net-zero driving experience by offering an internal EV car-sharing program,” said Kevin Gildart, president, 292 Main.

“We see this as a leading-edge transportation model, and we applaud the Town of Wolfville and NRCan [Natural Resources Canada] for supporting this initiative,” Gildart added.

All EV chargers are expected to be installed by December.
