Polara boosts electric vehicle charging capabilities through Cleo acquisition

August 15, 2024 – Hydro-Quebec subsidiary Cleo has been sold to Polara, a company specializing in infrastructure solutions for fleet electrification.

“Integrating Cleo’s technologies and expertise will strengthen Polara’s position as a leader in electrification solutions and provide the company with the tools it needs to meet the growing needs of North American customers,” said Polara CEO Sébastien Fournier.

Founded by Hydro-Quebec in 2020, Cleo offers a smart charging management platform to fleet operators.

Part of Groupe Girardin, Polara is a turnkey electrification provider, whose services range from analyzing a site’s electrical power requirements and site design to financing options, equipment integration, technical support, and more.
