Milwaukee 2470-21 M12 cordless PVC shear

January 23, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Milwaukee introduced a Li-ion cordless PVC shear—the first in the industry, according to the company. Specifically designed to replace manual cutting, Milwaukee boasts the M12 shear (2470-21) cuts fast, clean and close. Employing a sharp stainless steel blade for burr-free cuts, the shear can slice through 2-in. PVC in as fast as 3 sec, with as little as a 1/4 in. of side clearance. With up to 1900 in-lb of torque, the shear also can cut through materials such as PEX, CPVC, PVC electrical conduit, etc. Additional features include a variable speed trigger for a controlled cut in low temperature conditions, and an offset blade to cut PVC mounted to a stud or close to a wall.
