McGill has announced its 400W HID fixture (TL40PMT0) provides “super bright, energy-efficient and economical temporary lighting” on construction sites, and is fully compliant with the requirements of America’s Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007. The fixture outputs a 6-ft candles of illumination at a 20-ft mounting height, and according to the company, meets U.S. OSHA requirements for minimum illumination, while operating cooler than similar models due to its open-air ballast. Safety features include a quick-attach wire guard combined with an “overall low-profile design that keeps the fixture out of the way of danger.”
