It was party time for the Manitoba Electrical League (MEL) on Friday, November 20 at the Victoria Inn. Almost 300 people turned up for its AGM/Gala and silent auction charity event that raises money for the Firefighter’s Burn Fund.

The theme this year was New Orleans Mardi Gras. MEL says the band,
Mother Groove, “was excellent and the dance floor was busy all
evening.” Attendees were served a steak dinner and received a
complimentary, professionally taken photograph of themselves, plus the
chance to win the $4,000 travel voucher that was the door prize.

A new record was set when nearly $10,000 was presented by AGM chair Randy Knutson to the Firefighter’s Burn Fund.
