May 2, 2020 – Lifelong New Brunswicker Keith Cronkhite has been appointed president & CEO of NB Power.

Cronkhite has over 30 years of industry experience, most recently in the role of senior vice-president, Business Development & Strategic Planning, with NB Power.

The announcement follows Gaëtan Thomas’s decision to retire this month, following his 10-year tenure as NB Power president & CEO.

In other news, NB Power is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. It was formed by the provincial legislature back in 1920; however, its roots actually stem back to the early 1880s, when the first power companies began selling electricity in Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton.
