IEEE Globecom 2010 to explore communications that increase the global quality of life

IEEE Globecom is hosting its 53rd annual conference December 6-10, 2010, Miami, Fla. Themed “MIAMI: Moving Into the Age of Mobile Interactivity”, Globecom will host more than 2000 presentations dedicated to the ongoing advancement and deployment of global communications technologies designed specifically to increase the quality of life worldwide and provide a myriad of solutions for everyday people.

The event is expected to attract thousands of international researchers,
scientists, developers and government officials. Since its inception in
1957, Globecom says its delegates have joined with peers and colleagues
to expedite the introduction and implementation of the entire range of
voice, data, image and multimedia technologies.

Included in the roster of events is the conference’s Business &
Technology Forum, which will explore the latest innovations in IPv6, 4G
wireless, cloud computing, intelligent transportation and communications
upgrade funding techniques across eight different sessions.

In addition, IEEE Globecom will offer a selection of more than 300
technical sessions ranging in topics from energy saving and power
control protocols, cognitive networking, cognitive radio design,
beamforming and dynamic spectrum access to cross-layer designs, deep
space networking, routing, security, channel estimation & modelling,
cooperative communications and network performance optimization.
