June 19, 2024 – Ideal’s circuit tracers help electricians quickly identify which breaker or fuse protects a particular circuit, and locate splice errors, dead shorts, and concealed conductors.

The SureTrace circuit tracer (61-946) is rated up to CAT III 480V and features an ergonomic, durable design that enhances grip and allows it to withstand a drop of up to 2 metres. The receiver’s integrated backlight helps in poor lighting conditions, while the transmitter incorporates a kickstand and optional magnetic hanging strap.

The SureTrace Plus (61-948) boasts additional features, including a CAT III 600V rating and colour-coded indicators for reading voltage levels (AC or DC), DC polarity, and PPE notification. The TightSight display helps electricians read the tracer even when accessing cables overhead or deep within a distribution panel.

The Plus’s transmitter is the only circuit tracer in the market to include a built-in continuity tester, Ideal says.
