October 23, 2018 – Hubbell has introduced the Y10 series of hand tools under its Burndy brand, for stripping and cutting copper or aluminum wiring, ranging from #22 to #10 AWG.
The new product line includes Y101300C for cutting cable ties and wires and Y101400SC for stripping and cutting soft metal wires. Both feature jaws that are custom-designed to prevent accidental damage to bundles of wires or cables, along with heat-treated steel-alloy blades for crisp cutting.
The hand tools are also designed with ergonomics in mind. The handles are cushioned for a comfortable fit and the automatic spring works with natural hand contraction motions to help reduce fatigue.
