July 27, 2012 – Hilti claims costly damage caused by drilling into pipes or cable can become a thing of the past with its new PS 38 multidetector. The PS 38 indicates approximate embedment depth for clear drilling area, self-calibrates and marks the detected objects in different base materials up to a depth of 4¾”. The handheld multidetector also features several standard modes for various base material/composite structures, including a mode selection for special base materials such as floor heating, hollow brick and drywall.
