Backup power systems manufacturer, Generac Power Systems, and Honeywell have reached an agreement under which Generac will be the exclusive licensee of Honeywell-branded portable and standby generators through 2015.

“The Honeywell brand is well regarded throughout distribution and
consumer markets,” says Generac, “and provides Generac the opportunity
to expand distribution channels by raising category awareness and
increasing residential consumer access to automatic standby generators.”

Generac’s product offering, support and market presence will build on
the existing base of Honeywell generators in the portable generator
segment. Ranging from 800W to 150kW, Generac expects to launch the line
of Honeywell portable and standby generators during 2011.
