July 26, 2012 – A couple of new programs for the recovery and reclamation of products in the Province of Quebec—in keeping with the principle of extended producer responsibility (EPR)—involve mercury-containing lamps (e.g. fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lamps [CFLs]) and chargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
For chargeable and non-rechargeable batteries, the nearest drop-off centre can be found by visiting appelarecycler.ca.
For mercury-containing lamps, the nearest drop-off centre can be found by visiting recycfluo.ca.
