Enfinity developing 30MW solar project near East Hawkesbury

April 24, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Enfinity, a renewable energy player, is developing a 30MW solar project near East Hawkesbury in eastern Ontario. The Stardale project will be a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plant installed on over 240 acres of a property in the community of St. Eugene. Enfinity expects the project will create over 300 direct person years of employment, plus additional jobs to service the project.

“Enfinity is enthusiastic to make this investment in Ontario and to play
such a prominent role in the province’s renewable energy community,”
said Chris Young, general manager of Enfinity Canada. “We are committed
to supporting the sustainability vision of the province through the
finance and development of solar solutions and making them accessible
for local property owners, businesses and institutions so that everyone
can participate and benefit from this new energy economy.”

The installations’ design integrates a removable steel foundation upon
which the panels will be mounted, which eliminates the need for any
concrete footings to be poured at the site.
