Electric vehicle awareness and adoption projects across Canada boosted by $7.5 million in ZEVAI funding

August 9, 2024 – Awareness campaigns, buying guides and demonstration projects are among the latest initiatives to split $7.5 million in funding from Natural Resources Canada’s Zero-Emissions Vehicles Awareness Initiative (ZEVAI).

Of the $7.5 million in total funding, $4,236,774 is earmarked for medium- to heavy-duty vehicle (MHDV) initiatives and $1,947,928 forn light-duty vehicle (LDVs) initiatives (with $1,321,750 slated for clean fuels e.g. hydrogen).

NRCan says the projects will help address challenges related to awareness, knowledge, confidence and adoption of ZEVs, lower-carbon trucks, and clean fuels through outreach, education, and capacity-building activities.

The MHDV and LDV funding recipients include:

$248,000 – Parvasi Sahayta Foundation (Mississauga, Ont.)
