July 2, 2024 – Independent Electric Supply, serving customers in the Toronto area since 1921, has been acquired by Alberta-based electrical distributor EECOL Electric.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Wesco International, EECOL is full-line distributor with 64 locations across Canada. This acquisition marks the distributor’s first location in the Greater Toronto Area.
