Cut through nail-embedded wood with Diablo demon blades

February 23, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

February 23, 2015 – What’s a demolition project without the dreaded case of cutting through nail-embedded wood?

Diablo Tools may have a solution for you. The new Diablo Demo Demon carbide tipped reciprocating blades feature an variable tooth design that provides maximum performance in nail-embedded wood, said the company. Manufactured in Switzerland, the carbide tips are welded onto the blade teeth to allow for faster cuts and savings on labour costs.  Also, the blades are said to last up to 10 times longer than other bi-metal blades, said Diablo.

Additionally, all models of the blade are oversized to an inch width for straighter cuts and less vibration.

Diablo Demo Demon blades are available in 6-in., 9-in. and 12-in. sizes, with prices ranging from $7.99 to $13.99 depending on the model.  They are available at Home Depot, Home Hardware, Federated Co-op and most professional and independent dealers across Canada.
