November 10, 2011 – Bosch Measuring Tools has unveiled its Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) Radar Technology with the new Bosch D-tect 150 Wall/Floor scanner, which it says exceeds all other conventional sensor scanners by bringing superior detection depth and accuracy to the job-site. Describing the technology as ideal for finding the precise location of material located beneath the surface, Bosch notes that the D-tect 150 is the only scanner in the marketplace that can display material type, depth & relative width information of ferrous and non-ferrous metal, non-metal objects and live AC wires in concrete, wet concrete, deep concrete, in-floor heating, drywall, metal and signal view. Its signal view mode helps distinguish different material through the height of the curve, while in the ruler view mode, the D-Tect 150 also acts as a tape measure by displaying the distance from the start of scanning when detecting objects, it adds.
