Bosch GLR500 and GLR825 laser range finders

August 22, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Bosch Measuring Tools is introducing two additions to its lineup of laser range finding tools that bring the company into the long-range laser measuring category: the GLR500 and GLR825. The units are capable of measuring over extended distances (825 ft for the GLR825, 500 ft for the GLR500) and remain accurate to within 1 mm. As with previous models, these measurers offer the flexibility of measuring from one of four distinct points: from the front or back of the laser, from a 1/16-in. threaded tripod mount, or from a swing-out extension pin. New to the GLR500 and the GLR825 is the capability of delivering 11 distinct types of measurements (versus seven on the GLR225): length, area, volume, minimum/maximum, continuous, indirect length, double indirect, combined indirect, stake out, trapezoid, multi-surface area and timed measurement. To help you keep track, both tools have enough built-in memory to store up to 30 individual measurements and results.
