BICSI, an association supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry, and InfoComm International, an association serving the AV communications industry, have signed a “friendship” agreement.

“InfoComm is pleased to formalize our partnership with BICSI through
this friendship agreement,” said Tom Stimson, president, InfoComm. “We
have created many valuable programs together and look forward to working
collectively for the betterment of our industries.”

To accomplish their shared mission—and for the benefit of the
associations’ members—InfoComm and BICSI have agreed on mutual points of
reciprocity, including establishing BICSI continuing education credit
(CECs) and InfoComm Renewal Units (RUs), and continuing the current
government relations cooperative activities and participation in the
Green Building Technology Alliance (GBTA). Also included in this
friendship agreement is a resolution to update the AV Design Reference
Manual (AVDRM).

“We are extremely excited to have signed our first friendship agreement
with InfoComm International,” stated Brian Hansen, BICSI president. “We
have worked on so many ventures together over the past few years that it
makes sense to have a friendship agreement in place. With this
agreement, we have cemented what should be a great relationship moving
forward.”

The official agreement was signed by Randal A. Lemke, InfoComm executive
director and CEO, and John D. Clark Jr., BICSI executive director and
CEO.
