July 25, 2024 – Do you know a remarkable woman in the waterpower or renewable energy sector? If so, then Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) has a couple of awards that will interest you.

Woman in Waterpower Award 2024

WiRE has partnered with Waterpower Canada to deliver the Woman of Waterpower Award, which recognizes exceptional achievements, strong leadership qualities, and unwavering commitment to the industry.

Nominees must stand out as individuals who have contributed significantly to the expansion and improvement of women in the sector, in areas such as: leadership, policy and advocacy, technical advancement and R&D, project development, community engagement, and more.

Nominations for Woman in Waterpower close July 31, 2024.

The award ceremony will take place during Canadian Waterpower Week in Ottawa, in September.

WiRE has also partnered with Canadian Renewable Energy Association to deliver the Woman of Renewable Energy Award, which recognizes exceptional achievements, strong leadership qualities, and unwavering commitment to Canada’s renewable energy sector.

Nominees must stand out as individuals who have contributed significantly to the expansion and improvement of women in the sector, in areas such as: leadership, policy and advocacy, technical advancement and R&D, project development, community engagement, and more.

Nominations for Woman of Renewable Energy close August 15, 2024.

The award will be presented during Electricity Transformation Canada in Calgary, in October.
