Art Smith and Allscapes new BL-225-226-227 downlights

Designer Art Smith and Allscape – a Philips group brand – released the BL-225/226/227 family of cylindrical-shaped downlights. The downlights include uplighting and aiming options with no visible hardware or sharp edges. The lenses are surrounded a body-coloured trim ring held in place by eight stainless-steel Allen cap screws flush with the ring. The BL-225 has a 1-inch diameter aluminum suspension pipe for custom lengths. The BL-226 is surface-mounted and “ideal for flat, low ceilings,” says Allscape. The first two models housing measures 12.25-inches in diameter and 18.55 inches in length. The BL-227 has three versions: BL-227-D has downlighting only, BL-227-U has uplighting only, and BL-227-UD has both downlighting and uplighting. Their housing measures 35.80 inches in length. All three models are constructed with .080-inch aluminum and aluminum castings. They are offered in several enamel finishes: black, bronze, gray, green, natural aluminum, or standard white. The lens is a 7/16-inch clear tempered borosilicate glass with an aluminum frame and eight captive stainless-steel Allen cap screws. They have an adjustable tilt of 25° and rotate horizontally 360°. the family is UL and CUL listed for wet locations and IP65 rated.

– A choice of clear flat, linear spread, radial spread or glass coloured lens filters

– A choice of floor, spot, fluorescent or lamp assembly porthole reflectors
